On the front of the portal, make sure the gain and tone knobs are turned all the way to the left, and the overdrive button is not pushed. Plug the wire leading from the top of the battery compartment to the pedal on the right and turn the pedal on. Plug your Spirit Box or HEXBOX into the front of the pedal adjust volume to about halfway. Turn the Portal on and slowly turn the volume up to preference. Start scanning with your Spirit Box and adjust the threshold on the pedal to filter out white noise to your liking.
