Haunted Happenings: Meet Tommy

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood in the Ancient City is an unassuming 1920s cracker style home, not unlike the neighboring houses. The house does not stand out in any physical way, and most people would miss it just driving by. But, unlike most homes in the area, this house holds spiritual secrets. This house is our haunted Dixie House. Today, we will let you in one one of the little house’s many secrets.

While our haunted house hosts several spirits, there is one that seems to capture more attention than the others- The spirit of a little boy named Tommy. He is just like any other boy his age. He is believed to be between the ages of 5 and 8, but he has yet to tell us how he joined the spirit world. He is lively and playful, and loves to interact with guests. He even has a favorite toy! His gray teddy bear receives a lot of attention from little Tommy. Tommy also has a favorite chair, where his bear sits.

He is seen on the SLS camera from time to time. Sometimes he is sitting in his chair with his bear. Other times, he is running from room to room. His voice has been captured via EVP, and there have been instances of Tommy playing with flashlights. While the Dixie House does house several spirits, Tommy is among the most active.

During one memorable investigation, one of our guests were asked if Tommy liked the music box- our Poltertune 1.5. There was an immediate response from the Portal- a very clear “yes”. On a separate night, our investigators were singing “ring around the rosy” and “twinkle twinkle little star” - the Polterscript said “song” and a Spirit Box said “yes”.
